Ray Achemedei – General Manager, Information Services, CITIC Pacific

Ray has a real passion for developing and executing IT strategies in alignment with business objectives.  He has worked in Australia and the United Kingdom, and held senior IT roles over the last 20 years specifically in the Mining Resources Sector with the likes of Rio Tinto Iron Ore, Iluka Resources, CITIC Pacific Mining, Fortescue Metals, Oakajee Port & Rail and Crosslands Resources.

Ray has an established record as a leader and business partner able to collaborate with executives and senior managers to develop, plan and execute technology and change management strategies to deliver benefits and improve general business and operational performance and brings significant experience in the planning, selection and implementation of numerous Automation, MES and Corporate solutions to support the business transformation and operational management and execution activities objectives of various organisations.

Tamryn Barker – CORE Innovation Hub, Chief Executive Officer

Tamryn Barker is co-founder and CEO of CORE Innovation Hub, Australia’s first co-working, collaboration and innovation hub focused on the resources sector. Leveraging Australia’s strengths in natural resources, CORE is a growing a network of hubs to support the resources innovation ecosystem, providing proximity to skills, solutions and opportunity along the supply chain, and a culture of entrepreneurship, open innovation, collaboration and speed to market. CORE’s members and industry partners are focused on leveraging the opportunities from digital technologies into the sector.

Tamryn has worked for a number of international organisations including the European Commission in Brussels, Delegation of the European Union in Beijing, the European Patent Office in diplomatic, trade and economic co-operation posts for over 10 years; and on a number of local collaborative initiatives including the international Square Kilometre Array (SKA) radio telescope project and data science and innovation projects for the resources sector for the last six years. Tamryn is committed to growing a community of innovators in WA to deliver the ideas, solutions and skills we need into the future.

Kerryl Bradshaw – APAC Regional Director, Advisian

Kerryl Bradshaw is the APAC Regional Director of Advisian, leading the APAC Minerals and Metals sector, and the state manager of Western Australia. Kerryl’s team has an impressive track record for finding and delivering solutions and Kerryl personally has delivered numerous innovative and strategic projects around the globe, including the Pilbara, Brazil, Africa, Asia and Europe. This includes greenfield infrastructure and operations, mergers and acquisitions, asset sales, regional precinct development, driving operational and value chain efficiencies, and identifying and developing new technologies for operations. Having spent 15 years in the mining industry, and a background in banking and corporate finance, Kerryl has unique insights into how innovation can drive positive change in the mining sector.

Ashley Brown (KPMG) – National Lead, Mining Strategy, Management Consulting

Ashley Brown is the National Lead, Mining Strategy at KPMG and the Program Director for KPMG’s Energise Startup Accelerator, connecting innovative startups in the energy and natural resources sector with major corporate partners to drive greater takeup of disruptive technologies. A management consultant with nearly 20 years’ experience, Ashley combines his skills in strategy, growth and business transformation for corporate clients with his passion for innovation, disruption and startups, to lead one of Australia’s most unique innovation programs.

Kirsten Rose – Head of Low Emissions Technology and Innovation Partnerships, BHP 

Kirsten’s professional career has spanned over 25 years in a variety of industries and general management roles in the US, UK, and Australia. Prior to BHP, Kirsten was the West Australian State Manager for the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). A key highlight of Kirsten’s career was serving as the Chief Executive Officer for the Sustainable Energy Association of Australia, a peak body in the sustainable and renewable energy industry. As Head of Low Emissions Technology, Kirsten’s focus is on developing and deploying technology solutions to drive greenhouse gas emissions reductions from BHP operations as well as from the downstream use of BHP products.

Kirsten enjoys mentoring entrepreneurs and helping bring people and organisations together in ways that foster innovation. She has previously served on several not-for-profit boards and is currently a Non-Executive Director at Bloom, the student-led entrepreneurship organisation in Western Australia.
